As a photographer, one of the things most special to me is to be asked to document milestones in people’s lives. To become part of that family or individual, even for a short period, to intimately document for them what they cannot document for themselves.
This page is a small sample of the events I have been involved with, and to showcase what I can accomplish for you and your family. I prefer to work with small occasions such as engagements, vow renewals, second weddings or 1st communions….etc. It allows me the freedom to be more artistic and capture subtle moments that would normally go un-noticed.

“Erik Lee is a wonderful and pleasant photographer to work with and has a great eye.
I wanted pictures taken of my daughter for her first Communion and was hoping to get just a “few good ones” considering how hard it can be to take professional photos of children. I asked around and he came highly recommended by many of my friends.
Not only did Erik make my daughter feel comfortable and create a fun experience for her but the photos came out exceptional. They were exactly what I wanted and I got more than just a “few good ones”.
Professionally speaking, he includes his clients in the process by asking for opinions or suggestions. Erik works with you to get the best shot. He was even very accommodating in using two locations for the photos I had taken.
Erik did a fantastic job! Not only will I use him in the future; I will recommend Erik Lee to anyone looking for a photographer to document life’s precious moments.”

“We are so happy to have Erik as a photographer. We first used him for Christmas photos (after seeing the great work he does) and we were so happy with the photos, and the experience. My three children are all young and my eldest boy struggles with squinting in the sun. It was quite a sunny day and we were on the bay, which normally would cause my son to squint while compromising the quality of the photos, but Erik knew just what to do. His professionalism and variety of lenses and screens allowed for beautiful photos. Erik made sure we had the photos we wanted for the Christmas card which we’d cherish forever. He was so good with all the kids and helped to make the whole experience natural and carefree.
We recently used Erik again for our daughter’s First Holy Communion and we were equally, if not more, pleased with the experience. Again, he was at the location before we arrived (which is important to us because waiting for someone when on a time schedule, with children who are dressed up, can be stressful). Erik said that he likes to be well ahead of his clients.
The Communion photo shoot went smoothly and successfully, producing stunning photos of our daughter. We wanted to include some other family members in the shoot and Erik was so cordial with each added family member. He made our special day even more memorable and the photos were outstanding.
Children grow so fast, and to be lucky enough to have elderly family members with you on special occasions deserves a great photographer to document that time period. We’re lucky to know Erik and we’ll definitely use him again for future milestones.”

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Erica & Karl Lottman - Wedding Anniversary
For their 15th wedding anniversary, Erica asked me if I would “recreate” images from their wedding day, at the original location of the wedding shoot, with her family replacing their wedding party. Of course I was happy to accommodate. We travelled to Bemont Lake State Park and recaptured some of the images with their children Ethan, Grace, Hope and fur-child Rogue.
“As our 15th wedding anniversary approached, I decided I wanted to re-shoot some of the photos from my wedding day with my family. Erik was able to meet us at the location in which I originally took my wedding photos. He did a fantastic job! We were more then happy with the results, we only wish he was there 15 years ago to take the original shots!”
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT
The Three Bees (Bennett, Blake & Brynn) - Birth Announcement
I have been documenting the births in this family for quite a while now. Imagine three kids all under 4 years old at the time these images were taken? Mom had a great idea to put them all in “Bee Pajamas” for these captures as all their names begin with a “B”. The smallest Bee is only weeks old in these images.
HAILEY’S SWEET 16
It was Hailey’s Sweet 16 and mom was throwing her an awesome party. We talked a bit a few weeks before the party as to what they wanted of me, which was mostly family portraits as everyone was going to be there. When we got to the venue we discovered just how dark and cramped it was inside to try and do portraits. Chasing the setting sun I moved the whole family outside and did my best to balance the natural light from the setting sun behind them, with my studio strobes. I think the results turned out well.

PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Katie - Pregnancy Announcement
Katie is a very dear friend of mine. When she told me secretly that she was pregnant, we both knew that we had to come up with an image to surprise her friends and family with. She had the little onesie made up just for this shoot and we took a morning down at her favorite beach to capture the image.
Kretz Family - Pregnancy Announcement
One of the truly amazing Amityville families. I have been entrusted with family photos for this group for a very long time now and I am glad to oblige!
Gianetta Family - Pregnancy Announcement
I am very close with this family. So close in fact that their second child is actually my god-daughter. So it came as no surprise (well maybe to them) when they asked me to photograph something a little unique to announce to the world that baby number three was on the way! We had the idea to take the sonogram and have it blown up big and have the kids hold it up on that really cold February afternoon.
WEDDINGS
I do not photograph weddings often, but when I do I prefer to second weddings or small ceremonies. As generally I tend to be the only photographer, it gives me more time to be artistic and creative. Many weddings today are so fast paced and don’t allow time for that. If you are having a small ceremony feel free to contact me!
